Director
My name is Amanda Sirabella and I am the director at DBS. I am so excited to have your child/children join us. I have been teaching for 20 years, I have a BS degree in education, and I am happily married with two sons. In DBS I strive to create an environment that is warm and welcoming for the social-emotional and academic well being of each student.
I feel as though open lines of communication between the parent, student, and teachers are the key to promoting an educational climate that is conductive to learning. I am looking forward to working with you and your child/children. Together we can make a difference!
Please feel free to contact us at DBS ay any time if there is a question or concern you would like to discuss. I look forward to building a relationship with you and your child/children and thus providing the best education that we are capable of given.
It’s going to be a fantastic year!

Patricia Clunis
Executive Administrator
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, I have always been deeply passionate about education and supporting others. As the youngest of twelve siblings and a parent myself, family has remained central to my values and approach to life. After immigrating to the United States with my mother, I entered the public school system at the age of 17, an experience that shaped my commitment to lifelong learning.
In 2000, I earned my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from Touro College in New York City. During my studies, I worked as a paraprofessional in Brooklyn public schools, gaining invaluable hands-on experience. Shortly thereafter, I began my teaching career in Ridgewood, Queens.
In 2011, I relocated to Florida, where I embraced various teaching roles and continued to grow professionally. My journey eventually led me to Volusia County, where I currently resides and work as a Special Needs Support Facilitation Teacher. In this role, I collaborate with students, families, and colleagues to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities. My passion lies in supporting students who face challenges in acquiring the skills they need to succeed, and I am dedicated to helping each child reach their full potential.
Driven by this commitment, I founded Daisies Bright Stars Incorporated, a preschool organization devoted to providing high-quality early childhood education in an inclusive and nurturing environment. Through this initiative, I strive to ensure that every child, regardless of ability, has access to the support and resources they need to thrive.
In 2021, after two decades in the field, I returned to university and earned my master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education, specializing in teaching students with special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy cooking, entertaining, and spending quality time with children. My ongoing mission is to foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment in which every child feels valued and empowered to reach their fullest potential.

Hi, I’m Layla! I’m so excited to be part of the Daisies Bright Stars team as an Early Childhood Assistant. I’ve worked with kids of all ages and currently have experience in a preschool setting where I’ve grown to love helping little ones.
A fun fact about me: I’m a big fan of Disney movies! I also dream of one day living in New York City but for now, I’m so happy to be part of this amazing community here at Daisies Bright Stars.
